Happy Thanksgiving everybody! May you all have much to be thankful for. Sending you thoughts of peace, love and hope during this special time of year. Hoping each day of your life brings a bountiful harvest with all of the extras. I have so much to be thankful for and I wish you the same.

Let me start by sharing my eternal gratitude for my wife, Tami. We have been married over 37 years for better or worse and everything in between. She has been an inspiration to me for a long time. Tami has been a catalyst for so many good things including my passion for Reiki. She was the first person I ever shared Reiki with, and we learned together during those early sessions. I am so thankful for Tami. She is my best friend who just wants me to be happy. I’ve never been happier in my life. Tami has a lot to do with that.

Then, there’s my kids. My daughter, Sarah is SuperWoman in the flesh. I don’t know how she does everything she does, but it is amazing to watch. Her heart is bigger than most countries and she also is a respected Reiki practitioner. Her Master Class with me was one of the most enjoyable days of my life. She helps so many, and her Reiki treatments speak for themselves. She calls it, “The Heat.” I am so thankful to have Sarah as my daughter.

My son Alan, the creator of “Baird Survival Bags” really is Batman. He’s also Johnny Cash, John Wayne, “What Would The Duke Do?” and all of my heroes rolled into one. I cannot count the number of times this kid has helped me out or made me proud. He’s freaking Alan Baird. I will always remember Aaron, a family friend saying, “Alan Baird makes good guys look bad.” Amen.

I love my job. It feels so good to say that. Our work is so important. May you be blessed with work that brings you great satisfaction and prosperity.

I could go on and on about things I am thankful for like living in the mountains of Colorado, something I used to dream about when I was a kid. I am surrounded by beauty and wildlife. It’s an amazing place to be. Then, there’s my grandkids, and my brother and sister, and my other family members and friends and customers who I care so much about. We’re all connected and I am thankful for the many connections I have.

And, of course, last but not least, there’s Reiki. This is the gift that keeps on giving with its gentle touch and power in just being. It’s easy to get busy and forget what an amazing gift we have in Reiki. The healing energy always brings 3 things to any situation – Peace, Love and Hope. Wishing you the Big 3 on Thanksgiving Day.
