I’m pretty sure I have knocked on more doors selling different services over the years than anyone else walking the planet. Back in the day, my colleagues called me, “The King of Cold Calls.” Guess I’m showing my age, but I always loved making cold calls. Do people even do that anymore or has the cold call been replaced with spam calls?
Either way, I have met so many interesting people by knocking on doors and introducing myself. I guess the more things change, the more they stay the same in a way. I have knocked on many doors to introduce Reiki as well, and now my door is being knocked on. These are stressful times and everyone is looking for some stress and pain relief. This is why I have been taking the Reiki show on the road. Doing my best to follow my mantra of “healing the world, one soul at a time.”
Yesterday, a senior living industry leader rewarded her staff with a ten minute Reiki respite. This team works long hours and always lead with their hearts while caring for the senior community’s residents. I was set up in a beautiful room that was perfect for the Reiki sessions. The lights were dimmed, the shades were drawn and the temperature in the room was ideal. For just over two hours I shared Reiki and the positive results had these amazing people talking to me about future sessions happening sooner rather than later. Being a professional senior living specialist is not for the faint of heart. Reiki is a perfect companion for anyone in the industry.
Over the years, I have shared Reiki in barns, parking lots, strip malls, back yards, front yards, by streams, spas, in conference rooms, to large groups on team calls, in motels, hotels, hospitals, clinics, officer training centers, community centers and exhibit floors to name some of the places I have been since first being attuned to Reiki in 2012. I love my work as a Reiki Master even more than I loved making cold calls. And, sharing the healing energy with seniors in their homes has been more rewarding than I could have imagined. The conversations are priceless and the laughs are plenty. Reiki always brings out the best in people and it’s an honor to introduce and share Reiki with so many.
I find myself explaining what Reiki is to many who are so fascinated by it. Most are more than willing to try it with the hope that it will relieve their stress and pain levels. Reiki never disappoints and is something that needs to be experienced as it helps us heal physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
