I thank you for the beautiful sight of another stunning sunrise
I thank you for the blessing of still seeing clearly with my tired old eyes
I thank you for the pain that is much less than it once was
I give you thanks for everything because I want to
Just because
Many loved ones have moved on
As life keeps rolling along
Tears can sometimes fill my eyes
When I hear an old familiar song
I’m not as steady on my feet
As I used to be
It gives me a reason to hold your hand
And keep you close to me
I’ll tell you something funny
And then we’ll have a laugh
Look! On my phone is the most amazing
