Walking a Spiritual Path is not for the timid. But, as you continue on your journey you build spiritual muscle by staying true to your Higher Self. It’s easier to do sometimes than it is at other times. Like they say, “Practice makes perfect.” There is no perfect in this world but practice does make our dreams of perfection more attainable. It feels good when we know we are doing our best. The lessons are learned in the striving.

There’s no point in trying to fool ourselves. Since I was attuned to Reiki, I have learned to be more efficient with my energy as I have left things behind that no longer served my highest good. I do my best to speak the Truth, which is not compatible with things like trying to fool myself. My commitment to walking a spiritual path has given me spiritual muscle as I become better at overcoming the next challenge in front of me, while doing my best to stay true and not go off course.

For me, to go off course means to worry or to get angry. If that happens, then I am obviously not staying true to the Reiki precepts which means I am not staying true to myself. Years ago, Dr. Mikao Usui shared his infinite wisdom with us when he said, “Just for today, do not worry.” “Just for today, do not anger.” Those words are so simple yet so powerful. They have also become my main mission in life. I was attuned to Reiki in 2012, and that experience changed my life forever. Reiki always shows me the way when I stay calm, focused and one with the healing energy. Then, I am better able to hear the Ageless Wisdom in the silence. It’s a knowing, an understanding at the soul level.

We invite God through prayer and he accepts our invitation by guiding us out of the darkness and into the light. Miracles and Divine Intervention are as real as real can be. We have to be open to the possibilities, believe in ourselves and put in the work necessary to stay on track. The Spiritual Path is a winding one that has surprises at every turn. But, it keeps things so exciting and fresh. Never a dull moment! You absolutely cannot make this stuff up! The mystery of it all keeps me on my toes as I walk this path and do my best to stay on the sunny side of the road.
