By Jeff Baird, Sunrise Reiki Colorado

“This one’s for G. Earlier today she said to me, “Just keep doing what you’re doing. I feel the best I have felt in years. I just got done mowing the lawn and I have more energy than I can even believe. Just keep sending the peace sign and I’ll know it’s coming. But, it doesn’t matter. It gets here when it needs to get here.” G is kicking cancer’s ass because she is so amazing and Reiki is bringing her awesomeness to the surface where it rightfully belongs. She shares her experiences on social media and tells everyone that if they have any kind of pain, “I know a guy in Colorado. His name is Jeff Baird.”

I absolutely love G. Reiki is giving her a new life and I get to see it happen from a distance. She told me her doctors look at her like she has antlers on her head when she tells them about me. We had a lot of laughs this morning. But, the laughs were over a very serious situation where Reiki had lessened the impact, and in many ways, sent the pain on its way – back to the light.

Reiki’s healing energy is so real yet it can be difficult for some to understand or believe in. I get it. At one point in my life I was the most skeptical man walking the planet. At that time I just I knew all I wanted to know. In hindsight it wasn’t very much. You see, I didn’t know what I didn’t know yet. Then, just over the course of time, I’ve seen things happen that I would have never believed in before Reiki entered my life. I do my best to share those experiences with you.

The soul connection that I have made with G is one of the greatest connections I have ever experienced in my life. One morning I woke up to a text from her describing our Distance Reiki session from the night before. It was like I wrote it. She described what I was doing perfectly. G is many things including a Reiki Master. I am honored that she reached out to me.

Her description of our Reiki session was humbling as she described “bubbles of Holy Fire coming up through the bottoms of my feet. And then there was this shower and the same bubbles were coming from it.” G went on to describe exactly what me and Reiki had done the night before. This is why the healing is running so deep with her. If ever there was a time to say “Healing is a Team Effort,” it’s at this moment. Her willingness to receiving the healing energy is just as important as the energy itself. I loved the text from her when she talked about Jesus, other Angels and loved ones making their presence known to her and they were kind of like, “we got your back.”

The first text I got from G from her hospital bed is one that I will never forget. A small part of the text follows. “My husband’s jaw hit the floor when I ordered everything off the hospital menu and then cleaned my plate when it arrived. I had lost my appetite before our Reiki sessions.” G and her husband are planning a trip to Colorado just to visit me thanks to Reiki. They live in Florida. Reiki has been G’s ace in the hole as she has overcome obstacles that would have crushed others. Her strength is humbling and her belief is true. Her passion in her words is like a pat on the back, ray of sunshine, eternal thank you and words of wisdom all rolled into one that touches me deeply and reminds me of why this work is so important. G confirms that feeling every time she shares her Reiki experiences with me.

The people I have been able to meet thanks to the healing energy are some of the greatest people I have known. They’re the brave ones who aren’t afraid of trying something new. “What the heck?” “I got nothing to lose. Sure, I’ll try some of that Reiki stuff.” That’s how I found out about it. I had reached that point where I was willing to try anything to get through the pain – even Reiki. But, with G, she already understood the potential of Reiki as a Master long before she met me. She is working with the healing energy on many levels and the results speak for themselves. I love ya G. I’ll send you another Peace Sign a little later tonight.
