Nothing hurts like losing a loved one. Anything else is a distant second. Death has its’ own Loss Column and is in a League all by itself. I guess the preceding sentence is a subliminal way of showing how much I miss sports during this pandemic. But, with or without sports there is plenty of death all around us and countless souls grieving for their losses.

Lately, I have been thinking about the many loved ones who I have lost over the years. All of them played a role in making me into the person I am today. The good, the bad and the ugly. I am what I am. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. There are so many amazing souls who I have had the honor of knowing.

Those big personalities and ways of living can never be forgotten. But, rather, we honor the traits that they showed us. We thank them for their many gifts and why we love them so much and still miss them at this very moment. We continue their traditions that need to be continued and their spirits are right there with us. Cheers!

Tears are going to come and then they’re going to go. And, then they’ll show up again. I sometimes find myself laughing and crying at the same time. Many of my loved ones were very funny people. I could tell you stories about other stories. Rightfully, they wouldn’t mean anything to you, but they mean the world to me. You have your own memories and stories. Some great people have walked this planet and are now on a higher level. Many are closer than you may realize. We feel their presence in so many ways.

Receiving Reiki while we grieve is very important as it helps us balance ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. By receiving Reiki you are receiving the energy that is a part of your loved ones too. Reiki is love. It’s the highest form of unconditional love because it comes directly from God, our Source, Higher Power, Creator of all living things. Reiki can help us connect to our loved ones when they have passed on. We are all a part of the same energy, just on different levels.

In the past, I have helped others transition from this physical plane by working with Distance Reiki. Some souls hang on and hang on and hang on when they just need to let go. Reiki helps their transition go much smoother and gets them into the light sooner rather than later. Reiki is so gentle yet so powerful. It always delivers what is best for our higher self.

On this day I give thanks to God for the many amazing souls who I have known. Springsteen said, “This is a prayer for the souls of the departed…” Amen. Once again, Bruce nailed it.

I am overwhelmed by the power of love. It is the strongest force in the world. Always has been and always will be. Receiving Reiki is receiving love and love always makes us feel better.

If you’re grieving, I feel your pain. Remember, we’re never alone. Everyone grieves differently. You grieve your own way and my hope is that you will feel God’s loving presence during this difficult time.
