By Jeff Baird, Sunrise Reiki Colorado

The article below is in the February issue of “Colorado Serenity Magazine.”

According to a UCLA study, Reiki has been adopted as a part of patient services in 60 hospitals, and Reiki education is offered in more than 800 hospitals in the U.S. The Healing Touch Professional Association estimates that more than 30,000 nurses use touch practices on a regular basis.

Many nurses and hospice caregivers have come to see me for Reiki treatments, and I have heard about the toll that stress is taking on our healthcare professionals. It’s a painful situation for so many. In addition to the incredible nurses and caregivers that I have met, doctors have also come to see me. These are very powerful Reiki sessions!

It’s no wonder that Reiki is one of the fastest growing healing modalities in the world. Our website has been visited by people from more than 60 countries so far. The number keeps climbing. I get a geographical lesson each time a person from a different country that I am not familiar with reaches out to me. Pain might be universal but so is healing.

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that reduces stress and promotes healing. It changed my life over 7 years ago when it took my intense pain away. Reiki continues to gently change my life as I follow its guidance as well as my mission to heal the world – one soul at a time. The gift of healing must be shared and that’s exactly what I’m doing.

Here is a rundown of some of the events that we have coming up. I am confident that by the time this issue of “Colorado Serenity Magazine” is published, I will be a part of other activities that I will probably mention in the March issue. Since committing to Reiki full time, my life experiences have reached a whole new level. I am so grateful for the support and appreciate you reading my articles, following me on social media, reading my blogs, listening to my interviews and contacting me for healing treatments.

So many of you have said that you read my articles in ‘Serenity’ every month. We have a lot of good people up here in our mountain community and many of you read this publication. I know that because I always ask people how they found me. “Serenity” comes up frequently. So, thank you. Because of you, I am able to follow my passion and do this work full time. When I think of old jobs and how I used to spend my time, it seems like another lifetime. Reiki is my employer and I have never been happier.

Did I forget to mention the podcast? That’s being worked on and will be coming soon. It will be a very cool podcast devoted to discussing spiritual experiences in a comfortable, easy to follow manner. You won’t hear a lot of “woo woo” stuff from me. We’ll have guests, meditations other healing experiences, plenty of laughs and probably some tears too. Please stay tuned.

Buchanan Recreation Center

I am sharing Reiki in the lobby at Buchanan by the fireplace, every Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – Noon. The treatment options in the lobby are 15 minutes for $20 and 30 minutes for $40. The lobby Reiki sessions are done on a treatment table with a pillow, sheet and blanket if you want one. We can turn the fireplace on or off depending on what you would prefer. I also bring my stones and crystals, essential oils and CBD. My 60-minute sessions are in the massage room for just $75 and happen every day of the week, not just Thursdays.

Come see me before or after your workout. Reiki always delivers for your highest good and will help you heal physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Healing comes from within and is a team effort. Together, we make great things happen.

Reiki Classes

I am so blessed to meet the extraordinary people who have come into my life because of Reiki. The students who attend my classes are my greatest teachers. Elizabeth Wilson recently attended my Master Class and shared the words below with me. She is one of the most talented and inspiring healers I have ever known. Her knowledge of Young Living essential oils is unparalleled, and her ability to light up a room when she enters it is something you need to see to believe. If you have the pleasure of meeting her in-person, make sure you bring your sunglasses. She is a very bright light.  Thank You Elizabeth.

“It took me years to find the perfect master teacher. Having been nurturing the healing touch using my inner guidance and personal modality for a number of years I was hesitant to become a “reiki practitioner” with all the limitations that come with any institution.

When I found Jeff Baird all my reservations were instantly dissolved. His teaching style is humble, informal and authentic, which allows a smooth transmission of energy and attunements as he speaks. He honors the student’s unique flavor and style and recognizes the importance of incorporating many healing modalities for a multipronged approach.

As a healer, Jeff is incredible. But as a teacher, he is unmatched, making enormous strides in the world of energy medicine. Since I took Usui 3 Master Teacher with Jeff, my clients are reporting significant transformation and spiritual experiences. Any healer looking to enhance their abilities and offerings should look to Jeff Baird – you’ll never look back!”
