By Jeff Baird, Sunrise Reiki Colorado

I’ve been around the block a few times… and then a few more times. I’ve learned many lessons; most of them were learned the hard way. My career is filled with achievements and success stories, as well as hard lessons. I loved proving people wrong as my teams and I overachieved and did what some said couldn’t be done.

There’s always plenty of people to tell you why something can’t be done. They are the sideline critics who don’t have the guts to get into the game. But, there are also people out there who get a high from rolling up their sleeves, getting the job done right, and surpassing goals on a regular basis. Winning is an attitude and then it becomes a habit.

It seems like I’ve been a consultant for a long time. I’m old enough to share some experiences with people that might help them along their way. I have consulted with global businesses, local businesses, teams and individuals. Finding the right people, and then bringing them together to move in the same direction has always been a strength of mine. Leading by example. I have the battle scars to show that this is no easy task. Like I said earlier, I have learned some hard lessons.

Then, about 7 years ago, Reiki entered my life. Before I knew it, I was consulting people on their well being. Because of Reiki, I have learned so many new things that I love to share with others. These have been life changing lessons that others can learn from. Call me a coach or a consultant or a Reiki guy. It doesn’t matter to me. I was never big on titles. I’ve seen VP’s and owners that were afraid to make decisions, and receptionists that ran the entire organization. Titles do not make the person.

I’m a USUI Holy Fire II Reiki Master, an Unlimited Reiki Master, a business owner, startup and turnaround specialist, writer, teacher, advisor, overachieving leader, inspirational speaker, healer and consultant. I also take out the trash, do the dishes and clean up afterwards. I’m kind of a Blue Collar Reiki Guy. I love to do this work.

When I’m fired up about something, I can get really energized and focused. I am very passionate when it comes to spreading the good news about Reiki healing. It changed my life, and I feel a responsibility to share this amazing gift with others. I write about it, speak about it, pray about it, meditate on it and share it with those who are open to receiving. I never force Reiki on anyone. It doesn’t work that way. Things either flow or they don’t. If they don’t, I simply leave them behind if they are not serving my highest good. Reiki taught me that lesson, and has helped me become much more energy efficient. I don’t waste energy because I might need it later.

I’ve always been a hard worker. My parents showed me the importance of hard work. The Baird’s have a good work ethic and figure out a way to get things done. We’re doers. Mom and Dad taught me well.

I really don’t need a bunch of initials after my name. I do what I do. The results of my work stand firmly on their own. I do whatever I can to help others achieve their wellness goals. It is an honor to serve and to be able to do this work on a full time basis. Thank You for giving me this opportunity. I am eternally grateful. Healing is a team effort, and together we can do some great things. Be Well.
