It’s funny how Reiki works its way into the many conversations I have with different people on any given day. I have also been pleasantly surprised by the number of people who have heard of Reiki. Can’t tell you how many times I have heard someone say the word Reiki, immediately followed by, “Am I saying that right?”
“Ree-kee, Ricky, Rookey’…” doesn’t matter how you pronounce it because Reiki is universal and has been called many things over the years. Call it what you want. I call it amazing and I am so thankful for Reiki. I get to help ease someones pain because of Reiki. That someone might even be me. Self-Reiki is the gift that keeps on giving.
It is such a wonderful feeling to share the healing energy with others – both in-person and from a Distance. Since Covid hit in 2020 and my schedule shifted, I haven’t had the opportunity to share Reiki in-person like I was doing in 2019 and earlier. But, that is changing with more in-person sessions happening now. Today, when I do share Reiki in-person, it has evolved into an even stronger spiritual experience as tears usually fill my eyes and then a smile appears as I go into a deeper state of warm, healing bliss. A loving glow fills the space and I get to bask in it with another. It’s pretty special.
It’s actually healing for me to talk about Reiki with so many- so openly and honestly. I looked forward to this time when I would talk about Reiki in medical circles, and it has arrived; and I am loving it. Early on during my Reiki journey, I was hesitant to discuss the energy, but that was a long time ago. I needed to be a part of all of the amazing healing experiences I have now witnessed, and have more Reiki sessions under my belt first. Experience matters – in everything.
I am proud of the many healing sessions I have been a part of. Tonight is going to be a busy Distance Reiki night. So many are hurting. There is never a shortage of people or situations where Reiki is needed. When amazing things happen, I am going to talk about it. As a result, tonight, I could discuss Reiki all evening. It’s probably because of how Reiki worked its way into my lunch conversation with two amazing ladies earlier today. One of the ladies was a Reiki Master and the other has a friend who, “does Reiki every day and tells me how much it helps her.” I did not expect either one of those stories to be shared with me. Reiki in action – always delivering.
Reiki on the eve of our national election is in high demand – just like always. These are stressful times. If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed or in any kind of pain, please consider Reiki. You’ll be glad that you did. Then, we’ll keep this Reiki conversation going.
