By Jeff Baird, Sunrise Reiki Colorado

She’s a Reiki Master, you know. Her and I shared a special Daughter/Father Master Class a couple of months ago. Her willingness to keep on learning more about Reiki, and helping more and more people and animals makes me a very proud dad. It was an honor to teach Sarah about Reiki Mastership. She was ready and the “class” was more of a dad and daughter talking one on one. Pure Awesomeness. It was perfection.

This girl has skills. But, I already knew that. I’ve watched her do the amazing so many times that I am in a state of awe every time I see her in person. Sarah Baird Bruce – Mom, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Cousin, friend of so many and one Extraordinary Dental Hygeneist. Her knowledge blows me away. She’s a Master of the Arts & Crafts, Saxophone Player, Chef Extraordinaire, Cribbage Warrior, Game Board Competitor at the highest level, Gin Rummy Hijacker (Somehow manages to steal every game) and she’s a Leader. She was a Drum Major. She knows how to make sweet music while leading others in the right direction.

Sarah can see the big picture. She’s very wise and has vision. She is loved by so many. Everybody wishes they had what Sarah has. She has that “it.” She’s a survivor and the most multi-talented person I know. This woman is so strong, and can juggle many things like no other. She’s a Doer. That means a lot to me. I’ve always tried to be a Doer. She’s not afraid of hard work.

She has been helping her family and dogs heal with Reiki. She’s doing amazing work and operates at a very high level. Sarah is surrounded by loving light. As usual, she blows me away with all she is doing for others. The normal person cannot do what Sarah does. You have to trust me on this. It’s true. There is only one Sarah. And, I am so proud of this girl. Last night and today, our love and respect for each other went to a higher level. Seeing her and hugging her healed me. I needed it, and it touched me at the very deepest level.

My daughter opened my eyes to some things that I have been missing. I have been so consumed with so many things. I was shown the importance of family again – even during the holidays. Wakeup call. Timing is everything. My holiday spirit finally kicked in when I saw Sarah today. I love this time of year! Thank You Sarah. The tree looks awesome! Thanks for helping.

I have an amazing family. I’m so lucky. My daughter has inspired me for years. It could have been when she won the softball championship against all odds. The volleyball championship was pretty sweet too. She played her heart out, and so did her teammates. They deserved to be champions. Sarah has always been a champion. She has a bunch of trophies.

There is only one other person that is in the same conversation when it comes to making me laugh. Sarah and my sister are very funny, and I laugh a lot when I’m around both of them. They are two of the funniest people on the planet in my opinion. We have always been kind of a smart ass family. Sarah represents us well. Laughter is the best medicine, and we’re all about healing. Laugh, Love & Live. That’s what we do. It’s how we roll around here.

Sarah also represents us well by giving and giving and giving and giving and giving some more. When you give that much, sometimes you just need to hear how awesome you are from someone, like your dad. My respect for her could not be any higher. And, I love her more than she’ll ever know. Other dads know what I’m talking about. It’s a Dad thing.

I keep hearing “badass” lately. This is bad ass. That’s bad ass. I’m bad ass. Well, Sarah is BADASS. In Capital letters. BADASS! I mean that in the very best way. Sarah, just a thought – “Badass Baird/Bruce Reiki Clinic?” Everyone leaves with a smile on their face!

Sarah, Thank You for everything – especially for being You. Love, Dad.
